Product Design Services

VPI Engineering provides product design services for our clients. Past clients have given us sketches, detailed descriptions, 3D models, product requirements documents, and project specifications to help us understand their needs. From these documents and discussions, we put together a project schedule for the design of a product and a proposal outlining our approach to the product's development and the costs for the project.

System Specification

After your acceptance of our proposal for your project, we begin product design by creating a system specification document. This document is our blueprint for designing your product. Just like a home builder uses blueprints to build a home, VPI uses the system specification document as an overall plan to develop your product. During the design phase, VPI creates additional documents that have specific plans for each element of your product.

Design

From the requirements you provide to VPI, we create designs and develop a bill of materials. We create 3D models of enclosures, internal elements, and parts included in your product.

Prototypes

Using the 3D models and electronics designs, we create prototypes of the product. These prototypes are used for verification by our clients that our designs meet their criteria.

Production

Once designs are finalized, VPI turns designs over to a contract manufacturer for production.

Documentation

One of the services that VPI provides for our clients is comprehensive documentation of the project and the designs we create. This documentation is turned over to our clients so they have a complete set of their product's designs.
